Mode of action

The molecular mode of action of salicylanilides, including rafoxanide, is not completely elucidated. They all are uncouplers of the oxidative phosphorylation in the cell mitochondria, which disturbs the production of ATP, the cellular “fuel”

Ivermectin binds with high affinity to glutamate-gated chloride channels which occur in invertebrate nerve and muscle cells, causing an increase in the permeability of the cell membrane to chloride ions with hyperpolarization of the nerve or muscle cell.

Cattle, Sheep & Goat: Gastrointestinal round worms, Lungworms, Liver Fluke, Skin worms, Eye worms, Cattle Grubs, Mange, Sucking Lice, Screw worm, Sand Fly, Nasal Bot & Ticks.
